Piano school at an early age led to frustration of having to play other peoples works instead of creating his own so with an amiga and a microphone he started learning the ropes of production and started climbing them with great care. After years of producing electronic, classical and metal based concepts he started discussing abstract musical forms with Simon Kölle and Donald Persson in 1999 and the trio started a Dark Classical music project which was meant to tell an epic story with dialogue over cinematic and classical music soundscape spanning several albums. in 2000 the album was complete and to get the coverage they wanted, because the genre was so new. They created a Dark Classical music label entitled Waerloga Records, and released the debut, Za shum ushatar Uglakh there. The album was a huge success and Wired Magazine ran a 5 page story about Za Frûmi shortly after the release. The trio went into the studio almost instantly after the release to continue the storyline with the next album released in 2001 - Tach, during this process Donald Persson left the project. In 2002 Simon Heath and Simon Kölle wanted to make a more cinematic instrumental album series and created the Za Frûmi spinoff album concept called "Za Frûmi - Legends" which had its first release later that year, Legends Act 1. During this time Simon Heath had been working on darker horrorlike ambience-noise riddled production techniques and contacted the biggest label releasing black ambient and noise at that time, Cold Meat Industry, sent them a solo demo and got signed instantly. In 2003 he released his debut as Atrium Carceri, with the album Cellblock which became a huge success and sold out after just a few months. Meanwhile releasing both Classical, Noise and black ambient over the coming years, he never forgot his roots and had been working with the former member of Za Frûmi, Donald Persson on electronic, chillout and Psytrance for some time with their project Knaprika. They spent 2003-2005 touring around europe playing at festivals and parties, reaching quite a following in sweden til the Rave Against Drugs movement exploded in sweden, speaking out against the movement, they refused to play or cooperate with any labels and organizers having anything to do with the destruction of the anti-government movement they had strong ties too. Exhaustion made them eventually freeze Knaprika and concentrate on other genres. Heath started working on downtempo and lounge, getting deeper and deeper into music theory and the mathematics behind it. In 2005 he named the solo project Krusseldorf, quit his daytime job and started spending all his time in the studio. In 2007 Krusseldorf got signed to Iboga Records chillout side Sofa Beats and released his Debut Album after a few compilation works. His motto has always been to reinvent genres and create the music he feels is missing in-between the cracks of existing genres and the black holes beyond. During the years he have collaborated with alot of artists with new ideas and projects. |
Eki Jokisalo Location : Helsinki, FI. E-mail : ekijokisalo@electric-rhyme.com
The deep fascination for the spectrum of sounds, beats and melodies have always been the biggest drive in Eki´s life. As a kid, he always enjoyed sitting with headphones on and his eyes closed on the floor next to the stereo, listening to his favorite music. Ever since 1996 Eki has been spending long days and even longer nights in his studio satisfying his need for sonic input and modifying soundscapes into perfection. With the amount of active projects he has started over the years, there is not many genres that have been left unexplored Ren Toudu ( Chillout / Ambient / World ) When working on all the projects he would drift off from genre to genre while experimenting with new ideas and needed another output for his random ideas, so joining the Electric Rhyme Productions crew was the next logical step to take. |
Jari Rönkkö Location : Stockholm, SE. E-mail : jarironkko@electric-rhyme.com
Jari began his musical journey at a very young age. Already in pre-school making own weird put-togethers of pop-songs and singing them for his family. With 2 big sisters he learned to always be humble. No matter what you do, never get ahead of yourself. This feature of his persona today may have made a big difference for him musically. Meaning that the tunes always seems to have a slightly melancholic feel to them. Not in a depressive way, just an "I'm-so-happy-I-could-cry" feeling, but without the really cheesy parts. A little cheesiness has never hurt anyone but lets face it, too much of anything is too much. It was In the beginning of 1998 when Jari (or Jay) started seriously producing music. Started out with the project "Inspiros", very dark psychedelic trance with mostly percussions all over the place. After a couple of years, Zekazy was created, which is very much alive even today. Still psychedelic trance but from a more melodic perspective. Because of the earlier melodic years, a kind of natural transition took place. Several new projects were born. Static Dynamic is one of the newer projects of Jays. It got started when Ray Isaac asked if Jay could make a remix of the hit-song "I don't Give A Damn" released 2007 on Ministry of Sound. The original song is a soundtrack in an Australian movie called "Cedar Boys" which premiered in July 2009. So one could say that Static Dynamic is a remix/featuring project. Pitch Glitch is the latest project which is best described as emotional Dub Step. |
